Through NISA, our goal is to enable you to explore Nepal in all its complexity…from its shifting socio-political landscape and the economic pressures shaped by both internal debates and globalization, to the meeting of long-held traditions with contemporary cultural change, and the environmental realities of climate change and natural disasters.

Our programs, offered during the academic year as well as in summer and winter, bring together classroom learning, field study, and informal conversations with leading thinkers and practitioners. This mix gives you the chance to see Nepal authentically, connect with people shaping its present and future, and develop a deeper, more nuanced understanding of the country.
