About NISA

NISA is inspired by the Mandala, a symbol found in Nepal’s Buddhist and Hindu traditions that represents interconnectedness, growth, and the many layers of human experience. Like the Mandala, we believe education should be holistic -- bringing together people, ideas, cultures, and places into a deeper understanding of the world. It reflects our commitment to providing an education that is holistic, authentic, and grounded in the rhythms of everyday life in Nepal.

Founded by two Nepalis educated in the United States, NISA bridges the perspectives of both the East and the West. We invite students into a deeply immersive experience of Nepal -- its culture, its people, and its ideas -- designed to expand their worldview and challenge familiar assumptions. As the only institution fully based in and dedicated to Nepal, we aspire to make Nepal a distinctive hub for interdisciplinary, liberal arts–inspired learning.
